Saw that Pelican car, great color combination....surprised it already had a repaint as I've seen these cars with much higher mileage on the odometer that still had decent original paint....but if no accident history, good maintenance records and a clean PPI, that's a great car for $38K.

Another 4s popped up today over on Pelican. A 97 Ocean blue similar miles, price. Nice looking car too.
It was listed as Mediterranean Blue before the edit.

Drifting
The description wasn't completely clear, if it received a complete repaint or just the front nose of the car. I'd be a bit leery of a car that was completely repainted without complete documentation regarding reason and quality level of execution. Poor prep and finish work is expensive to correct.

Local friend (lurker here, former 993 owner) inquired about it last week, and had someone up there look at it. Uh.......................
I'll see if he wants to post up what he found, or give me permission to relay what he put on our local list.

So this came to me, with permission to pass along:
"Here's what I found: Feel free to relay!
Price dropped to me for $35K
Polar silver. Or so he says. Person that looked at it for me knows Porsche, and it is Polar silver
Paint is nice on the outside, but clearly a respray with visible tape lines in the door jams, etc...
Rear 1/4 stone guards didn't match. (my guess painter ordered Arctic silver ones)
Stone guards on front end. Lifting in some areas, with dirt under it. Minimal, but doesn't appear to have 'problems'
Scratches under the front end. Typical for a lowered car
Interior is in great shape. No tears and minimal wear
Radio doesn't work (as stated in ad)
Clearly lowered, but unknown suspension stuff.
Leaky engine. Not from the valve covers though. It appears to be something else that's causing it to drip from the case. Could be coming from chain towers, or RMS. Not sure
I recall the person that looked at it said the clutch grabbed quite high. Higher than any 911 they drove (had a RSA before)
Some yellowing on lights.
Was originally in Oregon or Washington (don't remember) a year or so ago, and has only been driven around 1000 miles since then. assumption: driven down from one of those places and parked most of the time in Reno."
