Its always the very first thing I look for on an options sticker. I've not seen many but I'd be that sucker paying more for that option if one ever came up in my budget.

......
There is a 2 pin coonnector on the DME harness near the DME under the drivers seat it is used to access the 3 sets of DME progtraming in all the OBD1 DMEs
open is ROW regulated
1 k Ω plug 944.612.492.00 is for non regulated
wire to ground is regulated w/ aux air(SAI)

here is the US installation

I did some further research too
the crankshaft and damper in the assembly line X51 was also used in the 993 Cups, 993.102.021.70 crankshaft and 993.102.050.70 are pulleys w/ damper used on the Cup cars. The RSR used crank 964.102.021.04 and damper 964.102.150.20 and all other 993s used 993.102.021.02(except '94 which used .01) w/ one of 3 pulleys w/o damper

993 information at production was centralized at factory, but for the cup, gt2's etc , all info and sometimes production was at weissach, thus difficult to find or ask for.
I have very few info on the track cars from weissach.
I was searching years ago on info of which 993 street versions had body reinforcements seam welds.
At the factory at that time, my source told me it was 'The improved Turbo' who had reinforcement welds.
I took it as the answer is the improved 'turbo' but I should have understood ' improved turbo= Turbo S'
anyway, the few info from weissach they had the courtoisie in giving me comes in this form:

Geo,
I missed this owesome trd(but some dust),
thank you!
I'll check my DME pn if it's inspectable(but I think it's not due to the dme metal cover)
Anyway tomorrow I'm going to collect some parts I ordered at my Porsche dealer(new door seal, new headlight glasses, new belts, new pss10,new sway bar bushing, new brake pads and rotors, new brake lines, new spark plugs, new filters, new ac hoses, new plate lights, new FL floor mat,new bumper supports, new rear susp bushing,a lot of new bolts and nuts, and so many other things) and have them ordering(not for real)a new dme....let's see what comes out.
Just to make Bill happy,my engine dme(that is the OEM X51 )cuts the gnition at higher rpm than std VR,about 150 rpm,so I think is not the M64/21.
Flodj,I searched for this info since 2000,but no luck yet.
No RS torque/pwr curve even to compare to the sdv VR/nonVR.
For your info my engine doesn't have the suffix S at the end,but has the X51 on option sticker.
Geolab,if you could send me the RS engine graphics, you'd make me very happy....

Part number would be of interest. It is on the DME case under drivers seat.

Forgot to ask you something I asked to the whole world(P classic service,P a.g.,Freisinger,P911 world,Total911,P Italy, and all my expert friends),but not to you:
do you know how many X51 care were built,in particular the C4S's?
The number I come up with of the latter is about 200 worldwide, mostly in Switzerland Germany Japan, and 6 in Italy.
Any chance to get a better info?

really really happy with this
Ciao

This is the base spec for '97/98 there are many options and some things that were optional on previous years became standard here

transmissions on earliier versions were g50/30 or g50/34, the difference is oil cooling & 8:32 CWP on the /34

intake and exhausts depended on the series the car was to run in

exhaust had 40mm or 45mm primaries

993RSR DME was 993.618.123.90(Bosch#B 261 207 836) M2.10.1

m6421/22 uses DME 993.618.123(4).11 3 was non immobilizer, 4 was immobilizer

m64/20(RS) used 993.618.123(4).85 3 was non immobilizer, 4 was immobilizer

the difference between these DMEs is all in the chip and the configuration of the harness 2 pin connector

the '94/95 also are 55 pin and any can be used in any of the above w/ a chip change

Only C4S with X51 ? I do not have a clue.
But X51 there was a lot. Porsche in France sold 23 in the month of Jan 1997 only, but I do not have more information on quantity.
As well, Porsche motorsport sold special versions everywhere, so it is difficult to get the precise info.
Since you are in Italy, I read a document at porsche that the president of Porsche club in Italy in April 1995 ordered a 993 coupe from the Motorsport division with the M64.05 engine labeled M64.05 R (1994). The 3746cc engine is not a varioram, has solid lifters and develops 299 bhp. The engine is a 3746 cc, not X51, based on 964 RS engine. It develops 365 NM of torque, that is more than 993 RS. The car is polar silver and has a full red leather interior made by Cartier. I asked for info at the factory, and I found that 300 of the 993 coupé 1994 build with M64.05R were produced.
300 is a lot of 993 I have not fell on, neither on the internet nor in magazines, but a few docs here and there.
here is one more in italy:

http://www.adrmotorsport.it/foto%209...g-nero%20.html

But to me , too much info kills the info, so ....

Production of the first porsche 993 turbo started in March 1995, the Workshop Manual of the twin turbo was destined for coupe Twin Turbo and Cabriolet twin Turbo....there is no cabriolet twin turbo, so a lot was changed during the 993 program, and it is harder for me to find documents of un-usual stuff...

THIS IS ANOTHER 993 VERSION CALLED 993 MOTORSPORT, BUILT IN 1994 WITH ENGINE CODE M64.05R , and different from the X51.
Intake valves 51.5mm and exhaust valves are 43.5 mm
Engine cut-off was at 7200 rpm
sorry for the mobile picture, taken from the cathodic tube old huge convex PC screen at Porsche Weissach (these screens flickered) :
