A little piece of plastic with some sticky tape on it, really not much different than a toyota or chevy badge. How do they justify the price?

Because it's not spelled "Toyota" or "Chevy"? I do not agree on the excessive price for the badge either.

+1 Sunset usually has best price around

Similar seller, usually slightly more $$ than Sunset but has online pricing for reference - sells your part for $52.50: Sonnen Porsche

Well, the price for the badges are crazier in Hong Kong: the 993 "Turbo" is around HK$1250 (USD165) and the "S" in "Turbo S" is around HK$980 (USD125).

Sorry to hear about your back Ed- hope it gets better quickly. I have to agree with Mike regarding the steady inflation trend for all things P-car related. I guess the driving experience is still worth the cost of admission, at least in my view. Hey, at least it's not as expensive or temperamental as a Ferrari!

Can the logo be re-applied with adhesive? I have removed mine for a repaint and they are still in excellent condition.

The 993 "turbo s" badge is one piece

At this point, I'm paying for the convenience of peel and stick.

I'm glad I did most of my OE mods a couple of years ago when prices were just high.

I do have a full sized lift, and do all my polishing without loading my back as much as possible - but here's the issue. On a lift, you see EVERYTHING that you cannot see when the car is on the ground, you polish parts that, well, really do not make any difference. Way too much time is spent polishing the undersides of bumpers, lower rocker covers, so yes the polishing is easier, but you spend twice as much time doing it...

However, with one bad knee right now, and a stiff back, I could not do a decent job without one, so my hat's off to you, with a low car and being 6'2" (I am only a low 6'), giving it a try. Hopefully you are feeling better by now...

Cheers,

Mike

Ed Hughes - -
Sorry to hear about your back and with the traveling you seem to do each and every week - all the best to ya.

After all the years without the model Script it was time to take the plunge. Hello Sunset Parts...
With the C2S model's body colored split grill swapped for that of the triditional black type I've somewhat bastardized the orginality of the MY98 coupe.
Hey,,, three Hail Mary's and a Script...

Ed -
A short "inflated parts cost" experience with Audi USA.
Our MY96 Audi UrS6 Avant’s brake lights stopped working - Not Good.
The culprit was a broken wiring loom at the hinge of the rear hatch. Ok problem solved with a new “hatch” wiring loom.
Throughout the 6 weeks down time Audi USA declared all their efforts to source the part of a car now 4 years out of production.
I’m waiting…. Ultimately with a single phone call to Audi of Frankfurt, Germany (their response was “how many do you need, there’s 10 on the shelf?”)
The over the counter price was $130… plus the $45 cost of FedEx. Audi USA / Audi of Boulder asked $700 plus for the very same part number.
Do the arithmetic. . .
