Way to bypass Drive Block?

Perhaps, but I found the chintzy wheel locks, the procedure for checking the oil and the fact that the window switches fail on an amazingly regular basis to be far more annoying than pressing the button on the key fob to disarm the drive block. Again, all part of owning the car, which I enjoy a great deal.

Some may not know that you do not need to cycle through the lock/unlock process to start an unlocked car.
Just turn the key to the on position, press the lock button on the fob, the red light on the door sill will flash
but the doors will not lock, then turn key clockwise to the start position.

Unless the clutch switch at the base of the pedal cluster has been by-passed, the clutch must be depressed before the car will start. Failure or mis-adjustment of this microswitch has been the cause of many people blaming the IMMOBILIZER when such is not the case. If the switch has been by-passed, the car can be started w/o depressing the clutch which is easier on the t/o bearing but requires assurance that the car is out of gear...otherwise, brain fade will get you in trouble!
Hmmmm.....I have no idea if my car has this switch bypassed ot not. I can't wait until the next drive to try that out. Would do it now but have the old "minimize the 30 second start and stop thing promise/challenge going on in my mind..." esp when cold....

"I do this all the time and this has ZERO effect on emissions."
The end result in many/most of those mods is that a Porsche factory tester
can no longer communicate with the DME ECM resulting is a lack of the
ability to monitor the OBDII cycle flags during the driving process,
thus complicating the setting of the emission monitors/readiness codes
for an emissions inspection.

Perhaps for some people doing them, but none of the ones we've done since 1996 suffer any communications failures. As long as the Drive Block is deactivated (by pushing the fob button), the Hammer or PST-2 communicates without a problem.
Only the '96 cars struggle a bit to set the readiness codes, however that was a software problem by the Factory that they fixed in '97. This can occur whether the ECU is completely original or modified.
