It would add expense, but even if I had to pay tax, it would still be less on less than what the local dealership charges. Almost 10 bucks on every hundred here.

I'll be honest, the reason I don't use sunset is their lack of online catalogs and ordering. Having to call or email a parts request is not nearly as convenient as just typing in a part number, and completing the order through a webstore.

+1 the no online store thing is a big negative for me. The web page keeps soon but i really dont think they are putting much effort into it with the amount of business they get the old school way.

Their prices are usually pretty good - and with the complexities of ordering/old part numbers/Porsche stocking in NA or Europe etc. I find it good to work with an actual person on the other end. I am hopeful that some of the good pricing we are seeing is a result of not having to keep a big transaction web site up and running.

I just research the part numbers for items I need and plug them into a google doc spreadsheet, send the link to Luke and wait for his reply if there are any issues. After that he plugs the pricing info into the doc, I confirm/update via email and we're done. Works for me.

They saved me hundreds (or better thousands) of bucks. I NEVER had an issue with them. I do not mind picking the part numbers from the catalogue that is easily available on the Porsche website. It is a little bit "old schoool" like driving an air-cooled 993.
