Default Becker CDR-220

Does anyone use a CCR-220 in there car without having done the face plate mod? Just wondering...

I do. Set it up to sound good one time and only use it to listen to the I pod. Therefore, the only button I ever touch is the volume. It would be nice to see the face from time to time but it is not necessary at all the way I have it set up. You can faintly make it out at night and not a thing during the day. Hope that helps??

I think SW is about half the price of Becker. I had a bad experience with Becker, its obvious that the guys at Becker are about 10 years behind the times - they barely use email, no notification of shipping, they shipped stuff that I told them not to, I asked for receipts via email (because its cross border) which they never supplied, etc. Go with the SW guys for sure!
