My new daily: 335xi M-Sport
Figured I'd post some pics of my new daily along with my 993. The 993 enthusiasts usually have an appreciation for BMW's too.
Picked it up about a month ago… it's a 2013 335xi M-Sport in Estoril Blue over black with tech package, heated seats, sport transmission, rear sunshades, harman kardon, black kidney grilles and carbon fiber m-performance shifter… all it has on it are tints, painted front reflectors and an xpel clear bra… intending to put a dinan or bmw power kit on it once either is released.
overall it's really fast and smooth, the transmission is like nothing i've ever seen. lots of gadgets is almost an understatement… ok enough talking, pictures are below

Harmon pardon, eh? In seriousness, it looks beautiful. I don't understand all of the things that BMW has going on with the 335i. Actually, they kind of lost me when they first departed from their typical nomenclature (1st digit = body type; 2nd two digits = engine displacement) with the first 335i. I know that yours is a 3.0L straight 6, but don't they now make one 335i that puts out something like 300hp and another with something like 330hp (maybe a 335is?)? I never know...
In any event, I LOVE the color and yours is the first example I've ever liked with the blacked out kidney grills. Tell us more about this sport transmission...Only other thing I feel the need to point out is just how BIG that thing looks next to the 993. You wouldn't even know that this car is a derivative of the E21 or E30. They've also got the 4 series coming...do you know if they plan to make the 4 series along with a 3 series coupe, or will the 4 series effectively replace the 3 coupe?
I keep talking...nice car!

I really fail to understand a turbocharged car with automatic transmission. Or a BMW without RWD for that matter.
Other than that it looks pretty nice.

What I cannot understand is how cars just keep getting bigger and larger!
Nice ride nonetheless, and enjoy it in good health

I would suspect that 90% of the power is at the rear wheels 90% of the time. On the street in dry conditions, I would be surprised if one could tell the difference between the AWD and RWD...

Some say turbos are ideally, and better suited, to automatic transmissions than manual transmissions are, due to the uninterrupted power delivery that one cannot have in a manual transmission.

A friend contacted me recently about his E90. It's a 328Xi and is in need of new oil pan gasket. "Easy", I though, 40 minutes under the car. As if. With BMW's AWD system it's 8+ hour job. Minor thing like that just scare me.
But all this aside, it's a seriously nice E90 and I think OP will enjoy it as a daily driver. And that's all that matter.

Love the car and great choice on the color!
My only problem with Beemers in the past 15 years is the ballooning size....
In old school terms..the 1 series is the old 3 series...3 series the old 5....the 5 five the old 7 series and the 7...well...need help with this one...

The BMW AWD system has a rear wheel bias and is a lot more connected than the Audi system. I know there are a lot of Audi fans here but they have a disconnected feeling, I cannot ever see my self buying one. The BMW on the other hand has a nice balance of feel and traction. The 335 is one of the best cars to come along in the last ten years, the engine is spectacular at all speeds and you can instal the Dinan program and boost the torque to 425 lb.-ft. and the hp to 385.
You have made a great choice. I prefer a manual but the new tranny in this car is about as slick as they come. Nice ride.

Great car, great color. Is the transmission dual clutch or slush box?
