Default Best 993 RS body kit on the market?

I am almost 100% sure i want to go with the RS body kit on my 95 C2. Can anyone who has gone through this cosmetic alternation comment re the quality of their kit over the years. I am leaning heavily toward the GT3 Tek kit but any and all opinions re other suppliers are welcome.

Some pics of your finished exterior conversions would be great to see as well!

Thanks in advance......

Dare I ask what that would run $ wise?

Per Sunset last year:
Splitters - $755.62/pair
Sideskirts - $1044.68/pair
Tail - $3177.07
Total = $4977.37

I know Carnewal offers this all in one 'kit' but I don't know the current price.

Used factory parts are very rare in good condition but sometimes they come up for sale here or on eBay ..

^^^ Looks like Carnewal's Tail price is cheaper at Euro 1995/$2650 but more expensive on the other parts .. add in a bit for custom's though ..

Even the factory tail takes a bit of massaging to get to fit right, but factory still the best.

There are 2 different RS spoilers packages, they both use the same side skirts
RS

Raw oe rear spoiler, nothing special here except that the inner wall of the air inlet is finished, aftermarket will be empty ie no wall

there are a few additional pieces that go w/ the spoilers, I bought the full kit from Gert and it included all the necessary pieces.

Oe sides skirts would have been raw black plastic

RS/CS & Cup

These are aftermarket, the front fits ok but not as well as oe, I like the rear because it's all c/f and much lighter than oe. This has many many small parts that it will take some research to find. It is also at least 2x as expensive as the RS

The RS is much cheaper

I have two different RS kits (RS currently on garage shelf & RSCS on the car) and in both cases, the front splitters and side skirts (well, they're same) are factory while the rear wing/spoiler are aftermarket.
Factory stuff of course is the best and IMO the splitters & side skirts are worth the extra money while the rear stuff is too pricey.

Same experience..factory front and side skirts, aftermarket tail. Of course I changed the car again a la Bill's car, with GT2 front splitters and 993 RS CS tail. Getty Design makes good stuff...my experience with Getty has been great.

Maybe worth checking the dealer for the kit price

For the price and general quality I'm happy with my Better Bodies splitters and fixed wing, I don't like the side skirts (any RS side skirts, they're too 'busy' looking for my taste).

Local shop that did the finishing and installing said they were pleased with the fit.

I kept my original engine lid with moveable spoiler and original front splitters, built up a new engine lid for the new wing, kept the car debadged.

I'm willing to wear Speedlines with RS caps, but I can't in good conscious put a Carrera RS or RS badge on the back, and I like it debadged better than putting another Carrera badge on it (have a new silver one in case I ever change my mind)

After my repaint, I replaced my old OE RS side skirts with new from Suncoast for $1200. The plastic clips that fit in the under body slots break very easily! The front splitters are OE and the rear deck lid is after market but not sure from where, maybe MA Shaw? We spent considerable time repairing some cracks and sanding the deck lid for a good smooth paint job. If I were buying I would go OE Rear Deck Lid if those prices quoted above are accurate. It does not seem that much more expensive. For my car, I chose not to paint the side skirts.

Thanks gents I really appreciate all the input so far some really good advice.

The Veloce RS 18's arrived yeaterday and the RS steering wheel from Suncoast should be here Monday so now i am starting to get excited

I think I am going to go with the GT3TEK fromt splitters and sides as I am not 100% sure i like the RS tail *yet* I did manage to find a few pics on the web with the fronts, sides and just the basket handle on the rear and it looked pretty good. My plan is to have the front and sides painted along with the new turbo scoops with fogs. I think it will give my 95 C2 a much meaner look! I will post before and afters once its all complete.

Did the original RS even come in Aventurine Green as an option? The money saved by not going OEM will be going toward Bilsteins and ROW springs.

Cheers!
