Default Better Defroster for 2002 911?

We bought our 911 new in 2002 and it's great, except for the defroster, which is abominable. Is there a third party replacement out there that would be as effective as, say, the one in a Toyota Yaris or a Tata Nano? Thanks kindly.

Your car is a 996 so you are more likely to find help on that forum. That said.... if your A/C doesn't come on with the defroster automatically, turn it on. This will dry the air coming out of your defroster and probably fix your problem.

Thanks, Bob. I have no idea why I suddenly decided I drive a 993. Ahem. Will repost.

I believe I've tried the A/C but of course I will give it another shot.

Don't worry... many 996 owners have that same fantasy.

I know others think of you as evil. I merely view you as... misguided.

That comment coming from a 996 owner is taken by me as a high compliment. Thanks.
