My friend has driven many laps around the Ring but you only need to loose concentration for a short while and the accident can be there. He came away without andy physical damage and that is the most important. He was also lucky to have track day insurance and we found out yesterday that the insurance company will scrap the car and pay him. He had however invested a lot to make build it into a good track day car so he will loose money which is sad.:( However it opens up for new projects:D

The wheels are as mentioned by Metamatt Volks TE 37 for Porsche and they are very light and strong. I guess one should have speedlines on a car like mine but I am into driving it more than for the looks and then the Ray's are a much better option.

Great that you are having fun with the car at such incredible circuits.

Personally I would stop using the car on track with such excessive oil consumption.

Something is clearly not right and you could end up causing serious damage to the engine, more so than if you rectify it now.

I always check my own 93CS after a track day...after 200-250km of use I find , maybe 1mm of tyre wear, some brake dust on the rims and no change in the oil level at all......I never need to top the oil up between services.

It's as if the car is laughing at me, that I have not even been trying!......or it is just so well built?

Thank you for the feedback on oil consumption!
I was booked to do the Scuderia Hanseat in september but have cancelled this trip due mainly to the excessive oil consumption.
The main driver to do my re-build was high oil consumption after the previous 9M rebuild and I will discuss with Colin how he intends to rectify this problem!
I have had two outings on track days previous to the ring trip after the full re-build by 9M so this kind of problem should not exist...

Please do rush slowly, as the Ring can bite back hard and is not very forgiving. ;)

7 litres in 900kms sounds serious.
I've not done more than 2 litres in the last 15,000 miles.

That said my car is not tracked so perhaps a bad comparison.

It sure was!
That car was seriously fast and with Sabine behind the wheel it just flew by.
It passed me a couple of times and I looked for it at the pits used by us but the video shows that they used the old pit lane at T13 which explains why I did not manage to find it.
Well I am OK with being passed by Sabine:-)

Found another view from the Larea GT9 passing the 9MRSCS at 5.12 just before you enter Brünchen this time driven by Ron Simons. It sure is very fast doing the lap in 7,28:-)

Did this get resolved yet? Interested to see what is causing this.

The car is going over to Colin at the end of the month to be sorted!

Fantastic car, story and use of that car. Please do continue to update. Not sure that the BMW was holding you up as badly as some have said... Looked more like a fun tussle with him if anything.

Makes me really miss tracking and the analog beauty of a well sorted older car. Fantastic how you kept up with that current gen M3 (was it a GTS?) in your rear engine, rear wheel drive beast. Great stuff.... And you made e 993 proud. Am sure you had to work a lot harder to keep pace with him compared to all the technology he possibly had aiding him. Awesome.
