Really close to the end now, my friends.

Andy's worked wonders with the trimming. The dash top, door caps, dash panels and centre console all done and in place now, should have the steering wheel back tomorrow. The door caps still need the end pieces trimmed back to fit.

The extra large Recaro SPGs are going back in necessitating a relocation of the seat belt anchors from the seat base to the tunnel in order to clear the harness anchor points. Here Owen is doing a final clearance check before fitting.

Always enjoy your threads, thanks for sharing.

Is that the original vinyl gauge surround or a new leather piece? How difficult is it to match the contour of the dash in that area?

I'd like to replace mine at some point but not sure if I can make the material conform to the shape of the dash. Have you ever re-trimmed one w/ Alcantara?

So it looks like SAI is retained, along w/ the OBD2 DME,

964 rockers, what cams?

Have you found someone to reflash an 88pin DME?

Interesting, did you ever have a chance to play w/ the variant coding pigtail on the 55pin cars?

It's alive!!! Cool stuff Colin. Best part of the project is when you can put it all together after all the disassembly.

Colin do you find those Techart fog/bake duct combos a PITA to fit properly?

I had them fitted and they required alot of fettling behind the assembly to get them looking right and sitting flush. Certainly didn't seem "plug and play" to me....

Yes, they are. We had to rework the shape to get them to fit & repaint them when we were done. To be fair they were on the car when it arrived, they certainly would not be our first choice, we prefer the factory turbo S version.
