Interesting project for a 993 GT2

http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2012/11/...p-DKR-7712262/

German tuning firm takes an old 911 and its turns it into a 600-horsepower beast.

The classic shape of a Porsche 911 is instantly recognizable, even for someone who isn't a car enthusiast. Because the car dates back to 1963, there are plenty of opportunities to go back and explore earlier models and help them realize even greater performance capabilities. German tuning firm Mcchip-DKR has done just that by taking a customer's old 993 GT2 and turning it into a horsepower beast. The newly-built creation is called the 993 GT2 Turbo 3.6 Widebody MC600, and is powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine.

It now features a new block, rebuilt K26 turbochargers, an ECU update and a custom exhaust, among other upgrades. All told, it now produces 596 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque. Other new additions include a limited-slip differential, 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels, a KW racing suspension and plenty of aerodynamic exterior add-ons to make this thing look fast even when at a standstill. The interior is equipped with a new roll cage, Recaro bucket seats, racing shifter, detachable steering wheel, a data recording and video system and carbon fiber panels. More than 800 working hours were put into the project, which had a total cost of €200,000.

Well the good news is we all know where to start...

First step: with your old 993 GT2.
[optimistically goes to check garage]
Oh, well - maybe next Christmas

Pretty sure I'll never fall in love with the Darth Vader front end. Good news that you can't see it from the drivers seat, which has got to be a fun place.

I'm getting old.
I think it's a little over the top and no longer follows the classic 993 lines.
