Update
Yes, per Mike Cap & RLer Autobahn (Patrick) in the "Ultimate Armrest Solution" thread:
For those of you looking for a well thought out and "factory" look armrest(s) for your 993's, here's a great option....
Porsche offers this Tequipment kit that is available in all the interior colors. The kit is called a "retro-fit arm rest kit".
Right side is p/n 000-044-800-58-interior color.
Left side is p/n 000-044-800-59-interior color.
Installation is simple. The armrest assy bolts to the seat itself and swings up and down. There is even a **** (you can see it in the photos) that adjusts the "rake" of the arm rest in the down position.
For installation, you remove the inboard plastic piece on the side of the seat back. Remove two bolts, install the bracket and one new bolt, drive in a roll pin and it's done. Takes ten minutes with the seat on the bench. Looks like it would be a PITA with the seat in the car.
Price was $238.47 each seat. I bought mine from the Porsche dealer in Buffalo where I buy my parts and they gave me a good price. His name is Dan Gabamonte and will do a cc order if anyone wants the kit(s).
Phone number for Autoplace Porsche is 716-633-5200. Delivery took about three weeks, as they come from Germany. This was the lowest price I could find. I spoke to Dan and told him he may get a few calls.
Any questions email me.
Great find! I looked all over for different options before selecting my bird armrest. Oh well . . . guess I didn't look long enough.
I stumbled on this option thanks to Patrick (Autobahn) in Germany. He was knd enough to send me some photos of this Tequipment option on his seats. Then I was able to find the kit in the PET Tequipment section.
I gave the Porsche parts guys the p/n's. They hadn't heard of these kits before.
They are in the PET. However, all you really need is the RH and LH part numbers (my original post) and your interior color. There are no installation instructions with the kits, but it is pretty intuitive, they WILL NOT work with the optional sport seats.
If you buy the kit or have any questions, call me at the office during the week. I have a file on this upgrade. 800-333-0519 x 106.

There are few tasteful interiors but most of them would give me a headache. Some of them would be forever branded "Saleproof".
The all black interior on the first or second page was classy, perfect.

The armrests look nice, and I like the idea, but I had the canted CD holder in my cab and removed it because almost every time I shifted into 2nd/4th gear my elbow would hit it and it would open. I replaced the leather wrapped CD holder w/ the storage cup (hated to do it) and it is much better.
I imagine those armrests around town would be a pain (if down), but probably OK for highway use w/ cruise control on.
Regards,

Agreed Tizzle. Simple, yet full of quality.
Here are some more (trying to get away from Wimbledon Green):
'Leather to sample' Navy blue...
Chestnut with extra leather...
Marc W's gorgeous interior...
Suede..... (anyone know more about this one?)

^^^^LOVE the Navy Blue! Great thread Nick.
Black is definitely classic, but I love these different interiors, particularly the factory full-leather versions (and I mean FULL leather).
