Intercity driver put a dent in my fender. He was honest about it. They had cars on there much more valuable than mine.

Default my experience so far and seeking advice

Hi all. I think this is my first post here

I'm trying to find an enclosed carrier to take a lovely 993 from Kentucky to Washington State near the US/Canada border (Bellingham). So far Passport quoted me $2400 (gulp) and InterCity quoted $1900 but they can't do it until late Jan/early Feb.

Any other recommendations would be most appreciated! This is of course the worst time of year to ship a car x-country but it is what it is

Has anyone had experience with Bill Avrich at Transport Connection? There's so much mudslinging on transportreviews.com that I feel I can't trust anything said there.

Thanks,

Brian

Hog Haulers out of McMinnville, Oregon trucked the 993 from DFW to SEA, enclosed with a bunch of original parts for $1600.

This is one question I will have for Intercity tomorrow...when is my car scheduled to be picked up.

I have not heard anything from them since I booked the transport.

I might cancel it and end up driving the car home.

It's looking like I might go with Plycon which many have recommended here and they are about $2100 and can pick up in 7-10 days.

I used Montway. $1250 Vegas to Lexington enclosed. I put an online request in on a Sunday night and the car was here very late Friday night in perfect condition.

Thanks Chris. I hadn't heard of them yet. I just got a quote from them and it's better than Plycon by about $300.

About 2 years ago I got my 996 GT2 from auto auction Dallas TX, I live in New Jersey so I ordered the shipping services from this website. The car had an accident front end damage as I bought it from salvage auto auction. This was my first time using such a service, and I can say that I all in all I was satisfied with the service and the company. Actually I can't remember what the final cost was but it's quite easy to find out this kind of information. Good luck!
