Sounds great.. Look forward to seeing the pics.
Re the track like / DE fate for the 964.. u going to be at NJMP much? its not that far from u. I have a garage down there and when in the US am there most members days, usually with the M3's but hope to have a 911 track ready by spring.

Hopefully you get back to the US and we can meet up one day when you are down there.

I have shipped several times, and InterCity has always been super expensive. If you are not on their routes, and they have to make a special trip to pick-up or drop off their price really sky rockets. Hence why I have never used them.
Most people here will not agree, but you might consider open transport. It is about half the cost of enclosed. Further, if you were going to drive the car any way it would be exposed to as much, or more than on an open transport.
Good Luck,

Thanks...can agree with you on this as well.

You do have a point in terms of cost.
However, to go open transport again I would take caution to contact trucking company directly instead of shipping brokers, who farm your order out to the lowest bidder, some of which are fairly shady.

I have used open transport and the car arrive extremely dirty due to truck going thru' rainstorms.

Yes, clean title...the guy traded it in on a 2002 Chrysler Convertible...some limited edition one.
I missed the deal on a C4S the other day on eBay for 28.5K with high mileage. Therefore, I pulled the trigger on this one quick.
Thanks,
Steve

Also, they detailed it...which might be worse. Pictures hide micro marring...
My 964 looked good in pics and when I first saw it on an overcast day but when I picked it up in sunlight you could see all the micro marring on the car.

it was on autotrader. they got it in on trade on friday and it was posted up on saturday. seems like there is a good deal out there either on ebay or autotrader at least once every few weeks. just have to get there first. i have missed out on a few.
i dont think i am going to modify this car in anyway. the guy that just traded it put the tires on about a week earlier. they look like all season that may be something i have to change as i dont plan on driving the car in bad weather.
Thanks.

If you're still contemplating enclosed transport, you might want to try Thomas Sunday. I haven't used them yet but I've seen their rigs at the SAAC conventions carrying some pretty pricey stuff.
