Default My 993 down for a few weeks :(

So my father came to visit me in AZ for the past 2 weeks. It's been a great visit less the part when he ran into a curb, scratched the front bumper, 1 large dent by the bottom air vents and the steering wheel is definitely out of alignment. Tears...but what can you do, after all I did buy the car from him.

Been there, done that! Not fun, but it's all fixable. I think my parts list ended up being a tie rod, new wheel, new splitter & an alignment. Surprisingly the tire was okay. Good luck with the fix!!!

Doh! My wife shares a Boxster with her mother. We have it during the summer, it's in So CA during the winter. Every time it comes back it has a bit more ... character.

I miss my parents. Give your dad a hug. Get the car fixed.

Yep. Wished my dad had taken the opportunity to drive one of the ones I had over the 20 years before he passed. He even only rode in one of them because it was my only running car when I lived in AZ, and he had no choice! To this day I have zero idea how I got his approval to get one when I had just turned 18.......

Like others have said, car is easily fixed. It will be one of those funny stories at family get-togethers in years to come.

I can't even blame anyone else for my encounter with a curb today - I totally overlooked this obstacle in the parking lot and my car had to be towed away. Looks like fans and lots of other stuff down under will need to be replaced. For some reason, Gert's front protection bar does not quite protect against this sort of collision!

Yep, I have a funny story of my own about getting too tail happy in a turn and catching a front tire on a curb. My motto:

he who never spun never won.

My dad backed my car into my boat. Damaged both. I'd relive that day over and over to be with him

Thanks for making me feel better guys. Now that we got all the laughs out, hopefully the bill feels the same way. Had to go to savannah for some work this week and now since the porsche is in the shop, my father is now driving my beloved e36 m3. I hope when I get back in Friday we can go to a nice dinner and not discover any new character on my other baby.
