Default OT: Need Dallas area Collision Center

Well tonight I was rear ended on my way home from work. Good news is it was not my '96 993 but it was my 2013 BMW X3 35i (yes it's only 7 weeks old). And since I have only been in the Dallas area (in a rented townhome) for the last 4 weeks I have no idea where to go to get it repaired.

So, Dallas area residents where would you go for body shop repairs?

Thanks,
Pete

Sorry for your accident, but like you say, given one of the two...

I had a MDX painted at David McDavid Acura in Plano and was happy with the quality of the work and color match although their service advisors don't seem to stick around long. Their body shop works on pretty much anything but with that said and it being that new, I'd probably be going to one of the BMW Dealers especially if 'they' are paying.

Oh yeah, don't forget to check the finished vehicle BEFORE dropping off the rental....

What color is your 993?

Sorry for the not so great welcome to TX.

I'd also check with the dealerships. But a couple of the good independents are Stuart's or New Concepts in Plano.

Welcome and tell us more about your 993 when you have a chance.

Yes, Stuarts is considered one of the best in the Metroplex. Haven't used them personally but its where some of the high end dealerships send their vehicles for bodywork.

Have used both Stuarts and New Concepts and was pleased with both jobs. Both shops have high end cars and are highly regarded in the area by Dealers and Indies.

I used New Concepts on my 993 front bumper and am pleased with the results. I have referred others there too. He works fast and does good work. Owner is Thomas.

Stuarts is likely the best in DFW. Work that I have seen is amazing. But their reputation is perfect work, but you cannot be in a hurry. Not sure how they would do with an "ordinary" car.

Welcome to DFW.

Thanks guys. I will definitely check out both New Concepts and Stuarts. Right now I am waiting on an estimate from Classic BMW (don't know anything about them except that they are close to where I am currently staying).

Once the house sells in Raleigh, NC (should be on the market in about two weeks) my wife, dogs, and 993 will be on their way to Dallas.

I don't have any pictures handy of my '96 but there is thread I started when I took over the stewardship of it from "Tommyg". It is metalic black has some very sought after mods (bilstein hd, m030 springs, golden rod, rs motor mounts, c2s front bumper, rear euro bumper, and a few others I can't recall at the momment). It currently is sitting in my garage with 39k miles on it hooked up the battery tender, man I miss that car. Below is a link to th thread I started when I purchased my car.

Thanks again for the suggestions and I look forward to meeting you guys sometime soon.

Quick update for those interested. I have an appointment with Stuart's on 10/22. Thanks for the recommendations.

A great independent is, or was (been 4 years since I left) Jack's in Carrollton. Repainted my '84 911-still looked great when I sold her 10 years later, new front end on an explorer, and a new rear end on an Infiniti. Sewell was amazed at the quality of work on the Infiniti.

Pete,

Good luck with everything as you settle in. I live in the Park Cities and would love to connect if you want to know more about Dallas. There are some great guys around (especially Brian ^^^) and some awesome cars. Your 993 will be in good company.

This string motivated me to call New Concepts to fix a spot on my front bumper that I scuffed while loading on the trailer. Doh! Mine goes up there Tuesday.

I just stumbled onto this post, my newly purchased 991 S was rear-ended this weekend so I'm looking for a repair center now too. It looks as though you decided to go with Stuart's, how was the result for you? I'd like to stick with a Porsche Approved Collision Center so it looks like Stuart's and Park Place Bodywerks are my options...

Stuart's did the PDR on my 997.2S after a hail storm dinged it up big time. Looked better than before when they were done with it.
