Default Show me your first aid kits

O.k., two more things are missing in my '98 cab, the original first aid kit and emergency triangle. My '95 coupe with 91K miles on it has one still strapped in on the backside of the forward most trunk carpet panel and it looks like this and note the single elastic strap design holding it in (please forgive the blur, it was dark):

Also, the '95 has it's original emergency triangle kit that looks like this:

My '98 Cab's front trunk panel is different in that it has a two elastic strap design for holding in an emergency kit, so I'm assuming the later kit was longer? or maybe the single strap design didn't hold up well so the factory doubled up on straps?

So, any help welcome, but I'd really like to see pictures of '97/'98 cars first aid kits and emergency triangle kits so I'll know what to look for when I start searching ...

TIA (you know I'm an ill, ill man .....)

I thought the triangle was a Euro only item, or at least did not come with cars in the US. Dunno about the first aid.

None of my Porsches came with first-aid kits. Even the concours winning 944 turbo didn't have it, although it did have a couple of sets of very nice clear gloves.

I got a first-aid kit at one of the driving events I went to and that's what I keep in the trunk. I think a first aid kit is pretty useless BTW.

I purchased a '95 in '95 and a '96 in '96. Neither had a first aid kit or traingle.

Well ... Another RL'r from the U.K. was just telling me that across the pond they were dealer supplied extra cost items that a buyer opted for when buying new and that may be the case in North America as well ...

See above ^^^^, looks like it could have been a dealer supplied option, but that is what the long pocket is for that's sewn to the face of the trunk carpet:

Hi Ilko, see responses above ^^^ looks like both triangles and first aid kits could have been dealer supplied as an option to choose from when you picked up your new 993. I agree, the first aid kits are pretty useless, but for an enthusiast/collector like me it's the magic that keeps me getting up in the morning ...
Here's a picture of a kit from a 944 Turbo (so seller says) off of ebay, is this the kit you ended up getting for your car?

It's also been said that the later 993's got the same kit supplied to the 996/7 models which is somewhat larger than my '95 kit and blazing red in color. Anyone have one of these in their car?

I guess the red 'bag' unzips like a dop kit ....

Hey Rich, thanks for the info!
Did the dealer offer them to you for an extra charge? Also, was there anything mounted under the elastic strap(s) on the back of the carpeted nose panels on either car or did the factory just leave the space empty?

I knew the carpet pouch was for the triangle in Germany (required by law). I am sure if you called Sunset, they could find both of these for you.

Yep, I'm sure the triangles are probably still available and I've seen them in other 993 trunk pockets in the U.S. Of course, that doesn't mean they came new like that (see Rich's post above ^^^).
I think the current update on the emergency kit is the red one shown above, but it's 11" wide x 9.5" tall x 2.5" deep according to a seller on ebay, and that won't fit on the back of the nose panel under the elastic straps because the total height of the panel is 6 inches from bend to top edge which would have to accommodate the 9.5" dimension ..
