That big black bumper was a big mistake. Would look a lot better if color matched. Other than that I like it.

Hmm, never thought of that, perhaps you're right. BTW, neither car in the pic are mine, but the one in the background looks a lot like mine...

Followup: The shop mentioned that they thought the cam follower was the original unit. Strange. Now I sorta wish they had just replaced it anyway...

Ouch - these cars sound problematic and trouble prone - having to take off a high pressure pump every second oil change?? Problems like this at 40,000 miles? Does not sound like VW did a good job here.

Then again, 993's have steering racks leak, valve guides wear, weak rod bolts, a bizarre rubber belt between two distributors, etc.

You need to drive a Toyota or Honda. :-)
