my "new" 993tt
hello All,
I joined rennlist a while back, and I figure it's time to post my story. I've always liked P-cars, but really loved them when I had my first close encounter with a 964 turbo 3.6 a few years ago at the BBOR. I was in love with the cars and the event.
Last summer, I purchased a 1996 993TT from Vegas. I bought the car from Carl Young's wife and drove it home to Alberta. It made the trip just fine, but about 10 miles from home, I started to smell fuel in the cabin. Turns out the fuel cell's bladder had failed. I replaced the fuel cell with a stock tank and also installed a tilt kit on the rear suspension. I love the car.
I'm looking forward to the SORC this august and more ORR next year as time and money permits.

Thanks everyone. I'll get some interior pics tonight and post ASAP.
Mods? mostly safety equipment. The car has a mild chip and exhaust work done. I'm not sure of the branding, but it pulls strong and sounds great. Other equipment: full roll cage, fire suppression system, GT3 seats, 5 point racing harnesses.
No Htwo O, the fuel cell was a fuel safe racing cell that was built and installed many years ago. the original owner had this custom made to compete in the 180mph+ class in open road racing. The kevlar bladders are only good for 5 years and this one was way beyond it's useful life. Stock fuel tank won't have those problems. I'll go back to the fuel cell in the future when I'm ready for the higher speed classes.

the bladders are only good for 5 years. This one was in for over 10. it cracked somewhere inside the aluminum can and leaked into the trunk. I'm back to a stock tank now.
