Default FS Centre Armrest/Storage - Sand leather

Being sold by a Limey in the UK.

A centre armrest with good storage especially made for the Porsche 993, I believe by an American company called Bird?

Soft sand leather and beautifully made, complete with fixing bolts.

$482 plus your choice of shipping

Is "sand" the same color as "cashmere" ?

That is indeed a Bird armrest, which I think has been unavailable new for some time. I have one in my 993, and the color is a perfect match for the cashmere interior. This is a very nice piece, solid fit, works a treat on long trips, doesn't get in the way when shifting, but can be folded up out of the way if desired.

Mine came with a cupholder that folds inside the armrest, but I never use it. The armrest lid would have to be open, and items stored therein might interfere with a beverage cup.

I know nothing about leather. Is it even hypothetically possible to dye leather like this to another color?

I dyed an e-brake handle from cashmere to midnight blue, great result and still in good shape after 2 years.

I think that if you go from a lighter colour to a darker colour, then dyeing can be undetectable.

I'm afraid I can't confirm that it's Cashmere or not as I don't have any manufacturer's data or instructions, so you'll have to judge from the photos.

The armrest can indeed be put in the vertical position and out of the way if required.

The inside of the armrest is finished in like a suede/velvet material. It's been decently put together.

No cup holder, sorry!

I bought a similar one on RL for roughly the same price this year and dyed it black. Pretty easy effort. I have one in two 993s.
