[QUOTE=jscott82;9839480]Installer just left.. out the door for $646...

Where did you get tear offs? I checked many years ago and remember them being $500, so just opted to replace the glass every couple of years (CMP is hell on glass, lots of sand)[/QUOTE

That is a great price. I paid $550 for a used windshield installed. I have to check about the tear off.

Default 993 Windshield

I just had mine replaced with a Safelite Tech. I bought this car with a cracked windshield. I called the claim into Nationwide and they have a program where I can get the insurance company price because I am a Nationwide insured. So total cost including new wipers was $733 which included the rubber gasket from the dealer and remote visit to my office. Cost of glass install was $659 and retail according to the bill is $1004.

I asked him about a template and he had never heard of that. He has done quite a few Porsche windshields covering a wide range of years. At any rate, looks good and now I can get my car inspected!

Our local 3M Clear Bra guy, Ultrashield, installed mine on the 996 and got them from CDOC for $250. Two tear offs and they have to cut to fit. They last a long time actually and are very thick

Default Scale 1" Squares main Square with 10 x 10 grid

Hope these can be of use, fronts. Can provide rears too if needed. Note Left & Right are duplicates of each other in my set. Now all we need is someone to post" how to" instruction / video, as with
, it is a mystery how they are used....

TOP & Left/Right

BOTTOM & Left/Right

What is the scale on those drawings? I'll bet we could 3D print up some of those.

Sorry- subject line had that detail - Main divider (thicker line) is 1" square, with 10 x 10 grid inside the "box" So they are maybe 2 3/8" -ish wide.

I had a friend print them for me... Does this look right? They are bigger than I thought they'd be...

The graph paper template is 1" boxes (dived by 10x10), so 6.x" length looks correct.

They look about right. They should be 5mm thick
