Default Haynes Manual?

When I had my 82 SC, I had a Haynes manual which made routine maintenance rather easy. Currently I have a 97 993, but I can't seem to find a Haynes manual (even went to their website and it appears they do not even have a manual for 964 or 993 Porsches). Does anyone know of a Haynes or Chilton type manual for 993? If not, is there something short of the actual Porsche maintenance tech manuals?

Thanks,
Mike

Thumbs up

I just picked up a copy of "Porsche 993 The Essential Companion" published by Veloche...tons of info and insight into the 993's systems and lots of how to stuff. This and all the internet stuff on Rennlist etc along with the factory manuals is all you need.

Chris.

In 2012, the Haynes manual is the search button on this forum.

I have the porsche workshop manuals, post it notes all over for quick access...
I still find it can be quicker, easier, whatever, to use rennlist or pcar or jackals to find torque specs or tricks or instructions or again, whatever.

I always thought the Haynes books were pretty weak on earlier Porsches.

I'm interested in the manual as well. Can you post a link?

+993 on Mike's site. Thanks for providing this, Mike!

As well, there is www.p-car.com, under the DIY section. And the search function here is your BEST friend, as someone above said.

Hi. I was looking for a 993's service manual and found you had one in 2012. Do you happen to still have it?

Thanks!

There's always the 'Bentley' manual:
