Bay Area Body Shop Recommendations
I had a little mishap with my '87 Carrera and I need some body/paint work. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good body shop in the SF Bay Area - preferably in the South Bay? I recently had some work done to my wife's BMW at The Works Auto Body in Santa Clara and was pretty happy with them, but thought I'd look for some other recommendations as well before making any decisions.

Bodystyle. Owner Cecil Beach. Top notch work. Located on Brokaw Rd (near Fry's) in San Jose.

I would recommedn German Auto Body in Santa Clara. They do lots of Porsches and they painted my 94 E500 with Glasurit paint. John Rost is the owner-408-727-3368.

If you need paint work, I highly recommend L&M mobile touchup. They will do the work at your house or work.

Many exotic and luxury car owners have gone to them as bodyshop is not what it used to be. They often take days sitting in a lot before any work is done. L&M focus on your car and your needs. Their prices are very reasonable and work is done to perfection.

Andrew: Guy is a stand-up guy (no pun intended) who does good work. Same with Cecil. I have used United Auto Collision in Burlingame since they did such a great job on Alvin Tan's Big Bird. They are fair and reasonable, as well as good. Plus, the CalTrain is an easy up or down to Burlingame. I just used RJ's Paint Shop in Pleasanton and they are really good' enough so that Bob at Automotive Concierge recommends them.
Come by and see the work of all of them if you'd like.
