Excellent job Darin... they sound GREAT. There should be absolutely no CEL or emissions problems with the 200 cell cats, and the mufflers don't figure into that equation at all. Rufus has Ruf Sport Cats (200 cell, I think) and NO mufflers. No problems.

Some db comparison numbers:

Measured 15 ft directly behind car

Stage III w/stock cat.: Idle: 75.1 db, @4500 rpm : 99.1 db
Stage II w/sport cats.: Idle: 76.5 db, @4500 rpm: 100.1 db
Stage III w/sport cats: Idle: 79.9 db, @4500 rpm: 101.4 db

Weight comparison:
Stock cat : 25 lbs
Sport Cats: 14 lbs

No CEL light. The 200 cell cats function well and do not produce a CEL light.

The 200 cell cats should pass the sniff test no problem. The cats are not CARB certified so they may not pass a visual inspection.

Any hp gains? Will you be providing dyno comparisons?

Pretty work guys.

Darin,
Will the stage II with sport cats be as loud as IIIs with stock cats?
I would like the advantage (assuming more power?) of sport cats without going as loud as stock/IIIs.

I can tell we are collectively going to ask you every possible combination of sound and power question. Hope you have this all entered in Excel!

Subscribed. Was collecting parts to build my own Cat but am now curious how this FD setup will sound with my modified motor sound mufflers.
Please keep me posted Darin as I may save the time and just order yours if they are available soon enough. Do you have a lead time to crank one out? I have booked time with a local race shop dyno for a comparrison if you like and can share the results.

Thanks Darin - great information. That is loud, but it sounds great in the video and I think Road America's limit is 102db @50-ft. I will have to think about this.

Is there any loss on the low end torque?
