Sorta unique solution to manual cab top ...
... but takes a bit longer to get open-air (probably overkill on the so-so pix, but this will respond to all who have asked for them):
Thanks to RLers for RSD (storm) and Bird (JM993), and to countless RLers for help and ideas.

Jc and C2: I'll try to get some better pix close up. I had to remove the soft top completely. There are three bolts in the back and the front attaches much like the earlier (i.e. 911 SC and early Carrera) cabs. I had a 911 SC cab ('83) that attached the same way to the windshield brace.

Wow. Wow. WOW.
I have a 'bit of a thing' for drop-top widebodies. Well done, Sid!
I was in the know regarding your plans, & I'm still speechless
(doesn't happen much )
Congratulations on a lot of painstaking focus & attention to detail coming to fruition. Now ... enjoy!
Of the plethora of highlights, 2 details:

Of the plethora of highlights, 2 details:
- The contrasting black/aluminum billet pedals - perfect
- Wheel center caps - silver crest Boothe Design?

Harry, Jaeger, Steven, Brian: Thanks much for the kind words. It has been a PIT at times, but history at this point. I could post pages on the process of importing without a license. Man!
Badly taken iPhone pix below:
David: Boost gauge in center console.
Guy and Steven: Engine bay.
jc: There are three bolts in back under the rear cover. The cover lifts up, the bolts are unbolted, the front top connection is loosened ala old 911 cabs using the same sort of tool I used to have for an '83 cab.
Jaeger: Yep, Ralph's products. I went by to see him last year. You should see his 3 beauties - the world's ONLY AH-100 coupe that he fabricated back in the 50's; a '96 Turbo with 40,000 miles (original owner); and a Pebble Beach best of show 911 Targa with a Ralph-fabricated stainless steel targa top. He has a picture of Ferry Porsche presenting him the trophy and Mrs. Porsche handing Ralph's wife a bottle of champagne. ANd for all his efforts and quality work, Porsche legal busted his butt for selling silver crests. Ironically, the last two silver crests I purchased came from a local Porsche dealer. Go figure.
