But... Chuck, dammit, it's time to be that stubborn Croatian! I have one dar friend who is also Croatian and the stubbornness must be in your blood because he sure is stubborn also!
Maybe this helps, maybe it doesn't but I'm gonna be one stubborn sonaofabitch today in honor of Chuck's Croatian stubbornness!
Get well mate, soon please.

What a shame to have this happen to good people.
I guess all we can do is to make the most of the time we have, and it sounds like Chuck has done this for quite some time. He leaves behind him a great history; time well spent, the way life should be lived.
I'm afraid that's all I have to offer. That, and my most sincere sympathies.

Katie's Mon. 8/6 update
Just received:
Hello Everyone;
There hasn't been any improvement in Chuck's condition over the weekend. He had several partial complex seizures yesterday, his vitals are still strong, but are deteriorating. He's being moved out of the hospital today and into a hospice facility closer to our house. We just want to keep him comfortable and get him out of the da--hospital. Doctors don't think it will be long. Days, maybe a few weeks. Very sad.

Just read Finn posted and then Katie's....
He has been stubborn for such a long long time.
Oh my.....
<sadness>
Days or weeks..... That is all.
I pray (now that he is in Hospice) that Chuck is not left on this earth for weeks filled with pain. May they be able to ease his pain and make his journey as peaceful as it can possibly be.
Hugs to Katie and the kids. It has to be so hard for all of them.

Here's a guy I've never met..except via RENNLIST. We started swapping e-mails at least once a week or more about a year ago just after he was first diagnosed. I never had a brother but if I had, I'd want him to be like Chuck. There's a message here: Each day is a blessing...Don't waste it!
