Chuck, many fond memories of our sharing a motel room in Dallas for the 2008 Ruf meet.
You and your family are on my prayer list.
Wish I could be there.

Gentlemen,
Between Bill's two threads, we have expressed our heart-felt wishes for Chuck to pull through. This says who Chuck is and also what this 993 community is. We are lucky to have each other.
Thanks again for caring so much. Threads/news like this puts life in perspective. I count my blessings everyday. This forum is one of my counts.
Peace, love and good health to all.

Truly a special man.
When he found out about me, he sent me PM's and email of encouragement. He wasn't thinking of himself at that time even though it was already rough for him, he was telling me to be a stubborn Croatian and kick cancer's rear. The whole time I was thinking of Chuck and the road in front of him because the monster he was battling was so much worse..... My father in law fought brain cancer, and he lost his battle quickly in just two months time. My father in laws road was short and very painful. Chucks road has been very long and I hate to think of him in so much pain.
I pray that God eases his pain and gives him peace. He deserves it to be no other way.

I was happy and honored to have met him during our 2008 Ruf meet in Dallas.
He was super nice to me when we met and the few times we communicated afterwards. My prayers with him and his family.

Chuck-- Of all the RLers I am continually amazed by & am lucky to call friends, none have changed my life like you and your family.
Praying for you all. Katie said it's been a long sleep, so rest well, & wake up with that infectious (& mischevious
) smile that so many of us know.
Totally agree ^^
Talked to Chuck while recently driving to RJT's. Said his vacation was shortened by a smaller seizure, & his employer had him Life-Flighted back home. However, you could practically hear the smile on his face, as he thought back to the beach house fun with all the family.
From my first PM with Chuck I've always been amazed by his quick wit and humor. Talking to him after the July WI seizure was no different: so high-spirited, warm, and sharp while we chatted. An inspiration.
SO happy that Chuck's family has their recent family vacation memories to cherish.
Happy memories to revisit, June's surprise RLer visit (facilitated by master-enabler 3healey):
Chuck looked great & was all smiles, as Grant chauffered him to work in style. Who wouldn't be, in 3healey's "limousine!"

Grant planned it for a month; with help from Chuck's wife.
CSertich was happy when Grant's 993 pulled up to take him to work ... but surprised it already had a passenger on-board (me).

I'll never understand why bad **** happens to good people. Chuck is a terrific individual and I'll always be grateful we had the opportunity to meet in person a few years ago.m

None of us are here on Earth forever and it always seems too early to go... The best we can do is leave behind a reason for people to remember us. It is obvious that Chuck has done so in fine fashion.
Warmest thoughts going out to his wife and family. Hospice is an amazing place, far better than a hospital during such a terrible time.
Godspeed, Chuck!

I've been fortunate enough to have exchanged some e-mails with Chuck over the years and always enjoyed the stimulating and friendly repartee.
I'm truly saddened by this post as he's one of the really good guys,............stuff like this shouldn't happen to anyone.
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Chuck and his family.
