Changed the oil and installed RS mounts today, in prep for my drive to Monterey in a couple of weeks.
70k on my car, and when jacking the engine up, no discernible movement with the engine in comparison to the chassis, but I scored a new set at a pretty good deal, so I figured nothing to lose.
One of the old mounts (RH) is elongated about 3/8" further than the other, and my engine now sits about 1/2" higher than before. There is a definite improvement in crispness getting on the throttle. I also could feel a little movement in the shifter when on the gas in 1st or 2nd, that is gone now.
No perceptible NVH, so no negative there. I haven't had the chance to try any twisties in earnest to see what handling characteristics may be different.
Of course, everyone knows a car is a lot faster and better with new oil and filters in it.![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
So, the purpose of this is to say I had no compelling issue that I knew of, that caused me to replace the mounts, but I'm sure glad I did!
I also have to believe the RS mounts will never wear out under my watch.

I don't know, maybe an hour? My early '95 has clear sailing over the LH mount, just the lid release guide tube in the way-but lowering the motor a bit allowed me room to get it out.
Two people would've been easier, but I have long arms, which is needed solo to torque the main bolts/nuts.
The NVH is what kept me away from Wevos.
I think this is one of those sleeper upgrades, but I'm sure new stock mounts woulda been good too-but, I'd have to sell some stock to pay for those.

On a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being the most difficult, what would you rate this project? Take much time? Sounds like it was easier than changing the oil and filters.

My OEM mounts were both shot and oozing nasty smelling crap. Replaced with RS mounts a year ago and never looked back. Not a huge difference, but made the rear end more solid for sure. Can't comment on WEVO's, but too many varying opinions for me to have gone down that path. DIY install was a 2, maybe a 3 at the worst!

Way to go Ed, always makes me happy to hear a good review of RS motor mounts, the diy is really pretty easy I'm looking forward to replacing mine. My stock mounts are hurting bad, where is a good source to pick up a set for a good price? I think suncoast sells them, correct?
