Anybody remember buying one of these?
I was checking around the spare tire area for moisture, dirt, etc and noticed a couple of the openings in the pan were missing their fittings, i.e. what I remembered as a 'rubber drain plug'...?
I though I remembered someone posting a part # for these little buggers, which tend to get dislodged rather easily, but darned if I can find it in my parts catalogue.
The only reference I can find is for part # 964.504.209.00 (x2) which is described as a 'lid'. So I'm assuming by the look and label it is a metal cap for the opening. Not a 'rubber drain plug'...
Anyone replaced these little fellas lately?

When I bought several last year they appeared on the parts diagrams as a "headlight drain tube". I have no idea why, but the ones I got fit right in there. I may still have the part number at home...will check.

Thanks Dan, did a search on the parts manual and couldn't find anything related to 'headlight' and/or water/drain...just the washer system comes up.
If you have a part # lying around I'd appreciate it, otherwise don't worry 'bout it...I have to call Sunset this morning to catch the order before it leaves today anyway so I'll order the 'lid' things and see what they are all about.

I think I found it...it was in the 911 parts list, not the 993, and its called the 'headlight drain sleeve' with a part # of 911.631.259.02.
Is that the part you were thinking of Dan? In any case I ordered 4 of them, $3.50 each, so no big deal...

That is the exact thread I was remembering Steve, thank you!
And here is the part # I ordered four of this morning from Sunset...sure looks like a tire valve stem, hahaha. If I 'lose' these I'll try the valve stem replacement method next time!
