Strange. I don't think it is a real 959. Why is the gas tank on the passanger's side?? All the 959 pictures I have, show the gas tank on the driver's side.

EDIT- well, I am wrong. My own pictures show a filler on both sides. Sorry. Didn't realize this till now.

Maybe the black 959 is Bill Gate's or Paul Allen's car????

Well you don't just see one of those on every corner now, do you? Incredible car.

I wonder what's up with the centerlocks being black? Are they just missing the silver covers?

I saw that too. They look missing. My guess was the car came in for a full wheels-off detail, and they have not been replaced yet.

Does a 959 have shaved rain gutters? Hard to tell from the pictures.

Oliver, interesting. So, one is for gas and the other oil? Cool. How much oil does a 959 hold compared to our 993's??

Years ago, we talked about this clone 959 on Rennlist:

Yes, a reprise from 1972. I'm guessing the factory figured the 959 ownership group would have been a bit more astute, versus the 911 poser-owners, to give it another go 10 years later.

Probably about the same, maybe an extra cooler here and there, so maybe a quart more

So then, what's the lid on the trunk for? I thought that was fuel.
