Default Nokia HiFi speaker drop in replacement?

Hey all.
Was in my right hand door and I noticed that my mid-range speaker has disintegrated. Is there a drop in replacements for these, or a seller of original Nokias?

Not looking for audiophile-level stuff right now, just something that fits without fuss.

I searched, and read for a while, but didn't find an answer.

You can buy replacement mid-range Nokias from Sunset for under $50.

A search should provide quite a bit of info. I and a few others have put Polks in pretty successfully. You do have to mod the covers a bit underneath with a Dremel.

The 993 speaker system runs at 8 ohms vs. the other general automotive speakers run at 4 ohms. So if you install a 4 instead of 8 ohm speaker, it sounds louder but your amp will also get hotter and might not be able to sustain the lower impediance. So in the long run you might blow the amp.
Just a thought.

OP I have a few spare in nice condition of the HiFi (490) option front door OEM Nokia 3" (80mm) full range drivers; free to good home. (These 3" speakers are often incorrectly discribed as mid-range type) speakers

EDIT : 1/25/2012 P-Daddy took a pair.

I'm also in need for rear Hi-Fi replacements. After researching here on RL, all I found were the 4x6 Polk replacements for non Hi-Fi rears. I believe the size in the rear for a Hi-Fi is a 3" mid with a separate tweeter.

I'm wondering if one can fit a 5x7 with enough space under the shelf?

I already replaced the front Hi-Fi's with RS door cards and Focal 165cvx's! These sound unbelievable with the OEM amp! Make sure to wire it to the "full" speaker wires:

#22 Brown/black RF Full -
#23 Black RF Full +

#24 White/brown LF Full -
#25 White LF Full +

A 12 ohm rated speaker is a mistake.

The 993s rear shelf located speaker's in either production form, be the HiFi option style or the stock speaker style, are 4 ohm rated components. Typical of automobile 12 volt based audio systems forever, decades even.....

The 993 production sound systems have NO 8 ohm rated speakers. The HiFi options door mounted enclosure (a bass reflex-transmission line type alignment enclosure) houses a 5.25" (130mm) woofer rated at 4 ohms and a full range audio spectrum 3" (80mm) speaker rated at 6 ohms. (commonly mistaken for a mid-range speaker) The door mounted tweeter pods are equals; either the standard sound system or the HiFi speaker option. The tweeter is wired without a formal frequency crossover using only a capacitor for protection. A simple, low (no) cost execution.
