I would not mix shocks on these cars unless you really know what you are doing. Dialing in different dampening on PSS10's is a bit like mixing shocks, but its controlled and you can go back.

So NO, I would not have HD's in the back and something else in the front - is your driver that you are trying to save a few $$$, or you have something else in mind?

Cheers

Mike

What Mike said, and do the Walrod Bushings update when doing the suspension. Then a quality alignment with an indy shop that uderstands these cars and kinematic toe adjustments.

Don't have any track/DE planned but would like to get the best road feel/handling I can for the car. The $$ difference isn't that great between regular Bilsteins and their HD's (for two) but the guy I spoke to at Pelican said "guys usually" go HD's on rear and "normal" on front. I guess I should go HD's all around then ?

I have the M030 suspension BTW so would their sport shocks be better all the way around ? Getting different opinions on the two

That sounds like questionable advice. Many folks here combine M033 springs with HD's for street if you want a 'sport' feel that's close to stock comfort. M030 with HD's is a bit stiffer but still a decent comfort level for most.

Nice Car! That's the total other end of the spectrum from the blueberry/banana car you were considering! As far as suspension, I have HD's with ROW M030 springs, and sways and I'm very happy with them - but it really is a matter of personal taste. You are fortunate that you live on the west coast and there are a lot of Porsches there - ask around and get out in different cars to get a feel for what you like Bilstein, Koni, KW whatever. The hard part is making sure you're comparing apples to apples - as tire/wheel size, type and air pressure, springs, sway bar type, engine mounts(if they are really shot) and even ride height can influence road feel when driving. Have fun!

I agree with Steve. Drive a few first ... If I had done that to begin with, I would have saved myself $3K, a lot of frustration and probably ended up with his suspension

Great advice, thanks guys. Probably going with HD's all around and looking into the Walrod bushings-vmail at FD Motorsports for some reason.

Congrats! The model designation delete is nice, but don't forget the red "S" adds a minimum of 5 bhp -- at the rear wheels!!

HDs and M033 is the safest, easiest upgrade, IMHO. A three spoke steering wheel is nice, too. After that, all you really need are sport seats and a red "S" to complete the package....

Inka and Cams, looking at pics of yours were two of the things that kept me in the hunt. Great looking cars both. If you ever come across a reasonably priced split grill, it's a mod I'd like to do.
