Best way to sell a 993?
With our daughter heading off to college soon we are looking at a move and some lifestyle changes. One is buying a bigger boat as we enjoy sailing. Along with these changes I am considering parting with my 97 Carrera S.
This is not an easy decision!
What would be the best way to sell this car?
I'm not sure eBay is the right way for a car like this. Seems like you get a lot of tire kickers and bargain hunters that like to quote NADA or Kelly numbers which of course don't reflect what these cars sell for.
Ideas?

I would place a PCA ad and also put an ad with pictures and detailed write up here on Rennlist. Photos will help and include any service history in the ad. With cars like these you are right about bargain hunters and low ballers with KBB and NADA values! Best place to start is where the car will be viewed for what it truly is.

Thanks guys. She's clean, no issues. I'm the 2nd owner and the car has always been here in Atlanta. All records back to day 1.
I'll get the 60k done before I list her.

Unless you have a really low mileage garage queen or it has a rare and desirable paint/interior color, I think the KBB values are pretty close to street value these days. Was not the case 2 years ago but they got their act together and did their homework.

Having the 60k done by a respected shop and having them do a compression test would put you ahead of the game. If you're an obsessive detailer like many of us, that's another plus. If not, you might consider having it done. With those things out of the way, it would be difficult for someone to "kick the bricks". We all know how great they are...and the word is spreading. With 991's at $100K, a gorgeous 993 in the $40k-$50k range looks mighty enticing.
