Iphone mount for 993
Anyone have an interesting mount that have used for their iphone in their 993?
I have an ipod integrated, aftermarket stereo but think it would also be handy to use the nav.
Was wondering if anyone had installed anything they like or dislike and why.
I don't want to install something that could not easily be removed without damage.
I was thinking on the inside of the passenger wheel well or on the dash or in that empty gap between the hazard lights and ash tray.
Thanks.

I went with the Tom Tom mount and mount it in the same spot as pic below (not my pic). Works great. Charges, audio out, GPS booster, speaker. Suction cup mount fits perfectly on clock face.

^^ I also run the Tom Tom Nav software on my phone and it's been great. Integrates very well with iPod App on iPhone. Music volume ramps down and back up to allow turn by turn, etc

I have the TomTom (bracket-edition, not w. suction-cup) in my car. The bracket fits the old factory Nokia cradle-bracket 1:1, so it's a straight swap. I wired the iphone-dock to the car behind the dash, so it also charges the phone with no visible wires.
Best feature is the build in GPS-antenna which makes it possible to get great GPS-data when using GPS Apps. I have used it for two europe-trips. The phone is nicely out of view here with no sun-glare.
There is also a nice little speaker in the dock that is better than the build in phone-speaker, however my Phone connects to the Becker stereo via BT so I haven't used more than once or twice.
This is the best picture I have at hand (dock is in bottom right corner)

Ditto. Location is perfect for non-distracted glance and close enough to hear all the Navi directions from the mount speaker even in the Speedster with the top down ..

I like that tom tom mount but problem is, I already have an aftermarket head unit with Ipod cable.
Essentially meaning, they would be competing for female slot on the iphone.
I need a mount that doesn't try to power the phone or give me "aux out" capability.
Just need something to hold the phone leaving the bottom open for male plug.
But don't want to use a window mount. I want something more in a fixed position.

Just bought this recently: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130708317527...84.m1439.l2649
You can put it on the lower dash so that it doesn't stick out.
