More of Marin's RUF goodness, shot when I was lucky to witness in person:

(Kudos to Ilko for making it possible, taking me along on his "NY/NJ/CT Tri-State Run" )

Marin-- IMHO, you (& Quadcammer, below) MAKE the pictures with your amazing black Turbos!

How goes the planned RUF upgrades you told me about?

One way to identify genuine RUFs. The OEM Porsche center caps do not fit flush on the real RUF wheels. They are the proper size for the center but protrude from the wheel a bit. Of course the RUF caps fit flush.

He already does since a few years back.

Check my post #8 from 2009 in this thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...ght=forged+RUF

The wheels are available in polished and painted versions. The are lighter than the cast RUF wheels but not light in the true sense of the word . Price is around 6000 eur + VAT for a set. They are not identical to the earlier RUF wheels as you can see but the design is similar and they weigh a bit less.

The other wheels you are seeing are most likely real RUF 19" wheels.
I had a friend over last night with RoTEC's copy RUF's - there are visual differences from my original RUF wheels that I have on the Turbo. On the copy, there is more dish at the center, and the spokes are not as flat as the originals. There are other shape differences that you can see when you have the cars side by side.

This thread has a mix of copies vs originals - the trick is can you figure out which is which. I know of a few...

Cheers,

Mike

KMY, your Turbo looks really great! Love the center exhaust. Why does your second picture look like the exhaust is still at the corners....optical illusion?

Thanks!

No optical illusion. The middle pic was right after I got the car back from RUF. The other pics are after a few other RUF bits were added. Check out the side mirrors too...

The pics were taken at different times... You can also notice the Ruf mirrors were installed later as well.
The car looks AMAZING!
