Cars and Coffee in SF Area?
Does anybody know of a Cars and Coffee event in the SF area weekend of June 30th or July 7th? I'm sure my wife will love getting up early for one of these gatherings.

Hey Matt,
I think there's one every Saturday morning in San Jose called 'Santana Row Car Meet' .. there are a few RL'rs here that go often enough, hopefully they can chime in here:

yep. that event is still happening from what I gather, although I think it has moved across the street to the Century Theatre parking lot. I haven't been in a while so don't take that as gospel. We haven't crashed that part in a while, maybe it's time for some 993s to show up and take over like last time.
the following weekend (July 14) is another C&C in Scott's Valley at Bruce Canepa's shop. They had their first event recently and it appears to have been a huge success.

^^^ Well, if you've never been to Canepa's, that's worth the wait as well. Always a bunch of incredibly rare cars for sale as well as 959's being federalized. Last time I was there, there was a 993 RS, several 959's, a real 914-6GT, several 356's including Speedsters and Carrera's .. PLUS there's Bruce C's own personal museum upstairs with a nice collection of his own cars ..

I see several car clubs meeting at the Blackhawk Museum http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org almost every weekend. There is a convenient Starbucks next door.

Let me know if you decide to do something. I'm leaving Friday but will check the forum from time to time. Since we haven't booked anywhere I have no idea where I will be and when but I would sure try and make a Rennlist meet.

Thanks guys. I may have to ration my Porsche related days to keep the wife happy but there seems to be lots of options.

All of these have happy wife scenarios built in, so you can't go too wrong.
Blackhawk
- Awesome musuem. A real gem and well worth the effort to see. Nice shopping and dining nearby in both Blackhawk Plaza and if you're willing to drive a little, Walnut Creek has some great eats and shoppign as well.
Santana Row C&C
- Good time of year so most of the more rare/exotic stuff shows up. Lots of nearby shopping/eats at Santana Row.
Canepa
- Even though they're not hosting a C&C those weekends, you can checkout the museum. It's free and open on Saturdays although tour is self-guided. Lots of amazing Porsche stuff (959, 917, etc...) so welll worth the effort. After, you can head down to Santa Cruz for a nice dinner and day on the beach.

I was just at Santana Row last sat to meet up with a few GT3 guys for a drive. We met @ the new local across the street @ the theaters. Hate to say it, but it appears the C+C scene there is dead. We met at 9:00 am and were the only ones there except for 2 corvettes. I wouldn't waste your time trying to make that one.
Santa Cruz is nice. Just don't be anywhere near it on the weekends. I left Santa Cruz @ 10:45 pm last sat night and was in bumper to bumper trying to get out of there. My 30 min drive home took 1.5 hours. It's like that every summer weekend.
Have a safe and fun trip.

The C&C at the Century Theaters on Saturdays is basically a 10:30 - 12:00 event. That said, there were still only 15 - 20 cars there the couple of times I went recently...
