Hope you and your family enjoyed a great Father's Day, too, Chuck!
Hard to imagine your 993 any better; it's spectacular.
To be done in time for Palooza (aka Escape to the Ozarks)?
...if so, I'll make sure NOT to ask for a ride -- ... must ... resist ... temptation

+1 ^^
I pour all the sand, gravel, and rocks I can onto any 'slippery slopes' I find.
Then guys like Chuck come along
... and remind me I now need a boulder to block yet another slippery slope

ratios
Here is a link to my regear from this time last year. Full details on ratios and other goodies from Rennsport/Rothsport are included.
Can I ask what ratios you are considering? Bottom line is I love mine and would do it again in a second however I may be inclined to go a little shorter even starting with a 2.25 2nd in lieu of 2.176. For most of my around town shifts that extra little bit is desirable. That said its also the character of the stock motor that's lacking...which now has me dreaming of a no compromise 3.8

I haven't decided on a final set of rations yet. Your pOST ADND THE link are really helpful. I like yyour choices. I have all the raion/rpm charts. One reason i posted was to help me formulate my final set of ratios I want to go with.
Thanks very much for the info

And how much margin do you guys think there is in these parts? (But I get that the conventional wisdom on internet forums is that the service and parts providers are just kicking back on the beach, and lighting their Cubans with Benjamins.)

Drifting
Some of them have so much money they have 8 vehicles and can afford to go racing too
