We went in 2010 as guests of ALMS. Michelin VIP tent all weekend, Flying Lizard suite above the pits, stayed in a 500 year old Chateau- the whole 9 yards, it was an awesome trip. Even my wife, who isn't really a race fan, was blown away by it all.
Our weather was great that year too-looks like a soggy start for tomorrow.

Ed Our chateau was from the 14th century, and I think was last repaired in the 18th century.

I googled speed.com/corvette and have been watching several live steaming laps of a vette chasing a flying lizard porsche... sweet.
Edit... first pit stops have separated the 73 vette and the porsche now, but it was cool to watch the 911 moving about the track in front of the chevy for a while...

Quite amazing Toyota was able to get their cars ready in 9 months! The program Speed had on last night about the development was good.
Flying Lizard off in the gravel trap . These guys can't buy a break!

Still a long race, but the 80 doesn't look to quite have the pace. The old 79 car has been smokin' though. With Pilet and Pumpelly both in the car, it could certainly win the class, and may best a lot of the GT pro cars. I'm scratching my head on Spencer qualifying as an amateur?
