996 Turbo/C4S rims
Hello....
So i wanted to get a spare set of rims for road use and use my current rims for track. Wanted to keep it subtle and thought id go for the 996 turbo rims which ive seen on a few 993's and really like.. i sourced a set and called the shop.. they said they wouldnt fit without a spacer and changing the hubs for longer stems (or whatever they are called)
i.e. i couldnt use these as a swap over for the regualr turbo twists i have on there now.
is this really the case? I doubted as i have seen so many 993's with this change i figured it was a simple swap, maybe just a spacer. specs of what is for sale as follows:
Porsche alloy part numbers
Fronts 2 X 99636213602 8J ET50 18"
Rears 2 X 99636214203 11J ET45 18"
Pirelli N-rated tyres (N3)
Fronts 225/40/18 Tread depth 6.5 - 7mm
Rears 295/30/18 Tread depth 2 - 3mm
Thks for any help
(Gratuitious pic of my c2s hiding behind other silver 911's a few weekends back)

They fit wide-bodies perfectly..Some say you can add a 7mm spacer to the rears to
achieve a more flush look; but I think they look pretty sweet as is..Ignore the SUV
stance...

^^^ Yeah, you won't be disappointed .. just the standard offsets are nigh on perfect for a widebody 993 and the extra width in the rear is just icing .. although you'll need to increase rear tire width to 295 .. oh, boo hoo .. ;-)

Well i went and got the hollow spokes and here they are. Now lacking grip far more than i was. possibly due to the worn p-zero's or im not sure if the change in offset/width etc means i need to get the car set up again.. will change the tires and figure it out. Didn't use spacers.. didn't think it needed them.

Anyway, as you've proved to yourself it works out just fine.
