Default Exhaust Muffler Finish StageIIIs

I've finally dug out the extra pair of stock exhaust cans (approx 17lbs. each) from the basement, wrapped and boxed them up for UPS to ship to FD Motorsport for StageIII mods.

I'm struggling with what finish to have them done, the obvious choices are cermachrome or natural polished stainless.

For the many of you that are already running Fister Stage exhausts, what finish did you select and what are your opinions on the finish? Is the finish holding up?

UPS picks up today so I will have a couple of days to decide.

Thanks!

Cermachrome. Finish looks clean and fresh, easy to maintain. I like the fact that the ceramic coatings reduce heat transfer to the plug wires .. ;-)

I went with the titanium. Matches my wheels but more importantly, I wont need to keep them polished. THey turned out very nice. Seem to be very durable as well.

Your going to love the stage IIIs, I get compliments on the sound and appearance . I ordered mine in velvet black with the slash cut wide oval tips. Love them and the sound is intoxicating .

Since you're 993 is arctic silver, either the ceramchrome or velvet black would look pretty killer, however, the polished tips would look more or less oem if you were to go that route. Have fun installing them, its really a pretty fun diy and I promise that you will smile big when you crank up the car.
Enjoy, the FD IIIs are Imo the best mufflers money can buy

I was so happy with the look and durability of the cermachrome on my stage III's that I had my catalytic converter cermachromed as well.

Bob, your c-chrome mufflers looks amazing. I think if I had either a GR or RB colored 993 I would've choosen that finish.

I think darin might make a high flow cat pipe system soon, if so mine is going to be coated velvet black with perhaps just the cats ceramachromed!

Anyway, bump for more pics, reviews, and comments.

No finish, nor clean here...the beauty is on the inside as far as I'm concerned.

That being said, I didn't want shiny cans to make the rest of the bottom look bad. I just know I'd end up doing more cleaning under there in the winter that way.

I have heard that the ceramichrome allows flames to come out at night off throttle.

Can anyone confirm?

That alone would be reason enough to get that finish.

Regardless of the finish, a spectacular product...made by equally spectacular folks.

Scotch brite pad, WD-40, and 30 minutes of elbow grease will do wonders to those cans.

Straight out of the box in their natural second hand state!

No finish at all. I wouldn't be happy to see nice clean cans when the rest of the exhaust isn't.

Having said that, if an engine drop is in order soon I'll get the whole lot done in ceramachrome, or black, or stainless, or maybe .............titanium???????????

H.H. I tend to agree with others the cans are tucked up in the bumper so you hardly see them.

I went with natural finish as well so that it matches the rest of the used bottom...LOL.

SOUND IS AMAZING!!!
