Hi guys,

I have been working on several designs for 993 t-shirts. This is the first of them, a few others will be coming soon. This particular design is inspired by the Porsche 993 emblems we all love and the old parts catalog from Porsche.

This is the first prototype. Note that the design has changed slightly since then with figure references now being in a light color instead of a dark color:


I have created three versions of this shirt thus far, based on some initial feedback. The first one is a t-shirt that looks good in light and darker colors (I would simply avoid the pure white one) The quality is very good, fairly light fabric good for summer but won't come apart at the first watch. It's an American Apparel shirt.

There is a vast choice of colors, you can probably find one the color of your car.

A number of you have asked for long sleeve versions of this shirt of which there are two, the basic long sleeve (which I would avoid in white) and the baseball long sleeve (with an altered design for white background).

I have tried to keep the price low by working with SpreadShirt. They print it, they ship it, they take care of it all. I have printed many shirts with them, have narrowed it down to a few fabrics I like and I think you'll be happy with them. Note that I can set up many different medium with the same design (boxer shorts, woman Ts, hoodies, bags, safety vest, etc). Just ask.

I am happy to do custom shirts for you guys, with altered designs, a club logo, a name, whatever it is. Please PM me with any request, let's keep this thread clean for questions on these three particular shirts and this specific design. Note that this is not my job, just something I do for the love of the car and the benefits of its owners.

I think you left off CarreraS and TurboS. Was that intentional?

These are actually all the parts available for Porsche emblems. As I understand it, there is no Carrera S or Turbo S emblems. There are Carrera, Turbo, S and the others. Think of it as a construction set. makes sense?

So these a the available parts, not the available models.

I thought it cooler this way but PM me if you want customs.

I'm certainly no expert, and I don't play a lawyer on TV, but are you going to have trademark or copyright infringement issues with Porsche?

Afaik, this is derived work, I took a schematic, changed it, made it suitable for a shirt. As for TM, there is no TM material there. Carrera is not a Porsche material, nor is turbo, targa, etc. feel free to not buy it though, it seems you don't want to.

I am just trying to make a few nice shirt for 993 owners.

It is disarming how negative people on this forum can be.

My post was not intended to be negative and I am not trying to rain on your parade. Actually, I think you are doing something very worthwhile and I applaud your efforts. I am interested in your designs and consider myself a potential customer. I was just inquiring if you looked into the TM issue and considered whether or not your designs (crest, scripts) may be hitting too close to what Porsche may consider TM infringement. If you don’t think Porsche cares just do an internet search. Something to be aware of is all. I posted in the spirit of bringing a possible concern to your attention and not to criticize your efforts.
