What an awesome way to spend 10 minutes of my day. Amazing to think that 70% of the cars are still on the road TODAY. And EVERY 959 is still on the road-stunning.
It's an honor to be one of many preservers of this amazing lineage.

Thanks for posting - my wallet is noticeably lighter just watching that. I wonder how they charge for their work and what are the cost ranges, for instance, for a restoral?
The workshop is CLEAN - very German! Would love to work there..
Cheers,
Mike

Yeah, who else has that commitment? Mercedes?
I was clueless that the factory even got involved with the older cars, but in maybe 25 years ago someone brought a '73RS into my shop that had about a 100K DM bill for a factory restoration. That was easily four times what the car was worth, and the thing was off-the-chart perfect. Privilege to work on that car for a couple of years. Stupid me for not blowing a couple of rolls of film documenting everything.

What blows me away about the shop scene is the number of front-engined water cooleds (pre-'03, of course) in there.
Think they'll be getting Cayennes to restore in 20 years?????
