The washer type of piece is only swaged onto the pivot sleeve. You can install it back together to peen it back together. There have been a few instances of this happening upon removal from the rubber bushing.

Just ensure the tophats are hot enough such that they slide out without requiring much force to remove it from the bushing. Usually about 30 seconds of torch heat beyond the point they start smoking.

For those keeping score at home; this is why one buys from RL sponsors.

Yes Darin has been very helpful. As many others have stated he is great to work with.

Lord knows I tried, but when you'd like more information about a product, e-mail and then even phone and leave a message with the sponsor, a very popular one on RL by the way, and you get no response to neither, one has to wonder what after sales service would be like.

I ended up giving someone else my business three out of three orders so far.

Just to be clear, this was not us.

This is not a part you can buy separately from Porsche - perhaps you can find a broken arm at one of the wreckers? They may have a car that was hit on the front end where the A arms are broken, the these bushings are fine.

Best of luck!

Walrod bushings? Yes, we almost always have them in stock.
Bushing sleeves? No. We can fix ones that become seperated.
Control arms? We have a couple of sets that we use for core exchanges.

Don't know the reason why but that last bushing (it's always the last one isn't it) fought my efforts to loosen it up with heat but it simply did. I went much longer than the five prior with the torch yet she wouldn't budge, that is until the end piece popped off . Ended up cutting through the exposed rubber then pulling it out and cleaned it up.

My 2 cents......for those contemplating Walrod Bushings, buy the preloaded control arms and save yourself some aggravation.
