yes, a fail safe. But the more power one takes out of the engine, the greater the need for the failsafe.

Default What’s the highest anyone has made the 3.6/3.8 stock block and stock frank spin?

Let’s talk about the stock block and 3.8L cylinders in it, with a stock stroke crank. What’s the highest rpm that this combo can be spun reliably and how exeactly does one get there. I’m especially interested in hearing from the people who have actually done a high rpm stock block engine and gotten it to last at those high end.

No, unfortunately I can't, but have trust in Christian Treiber that there is no 'upgrade' involved.
