I submit that "adventurine" is a common mis-spelling, or it describes the spirit of the individuals who ordered or currently own vehicles of this color; as in "adventurous."

Thank you all for your comments, most informative.

There was a local guy selling an "Adventurine green" 993 here for a while in our local PCA newsletter. He also said it "was purchased from prestigious Victory Motorcars in Houston Texas."
Fail.

Pictures of the 93' and 95' US Porsche color pamphlets have been sent via email to the OP as per his PM request to me. Hopefully he will post them so that you all can see that Porsche North America changed the name of the color for the US market.

Hmmm...well the paint tag on my 95.5 993 says: " AVENTURAGRUEN METALLIC K6" and has the numerical code: "39S-9-4-WBL",
so I guess it really is a green queen. :-).

To make it a little simpler for everyone... there is no green in Aventurine Green paint.

There is an "Adventuring" Green on ebay now. If I bought that car, I would be Indiana Jones, Tintin and Asterix all rolled into one.

I tried to send you a message, but your Rennlist account is not set up to allow that! I was just busting your ***** because your previous posts were contradicktory/cornfusing regarding the three or more names for this really cool green! Thanks for playing!

Mark,
I get PM's all of the time asking me for copies of Porsche documents. I not only Collect the cars but everything else about Porsche as well. I mis dated one of the color booklets from memory. I do not view that as contradictory or confusing.

It's because most of the Adventurine cars were financed.
