dash rattle
I had a loud dash rattle and after some searching, ended up fixing it by tightening the 10mm bolt behind the ash tray housing. However, my fix seems to be shortlived. I usually end up loosening and retightening this bolt once every couple of months due to the rattle coming back. Is there any longer term solution?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I dont want to end up welding this bolt in there because its not exactly loosening up right now...when I go to readjust, it is still very tight. Its not like its backing out a lot, so loctite might affect my ability to loosen and retighten in the future, dont you think?

If the bolt isn't actually loosening, I'm not sure how Loctite or a lock washer will resolve the issue. Also, is it a plastic-sounding rattle, metallic-sounding rattle or what? It almost sounds like something behind the ash tray housing needs to be padded to prevent two objects from hitting one another.
