Seriously, if you won the $640 mill in the Megamillions would you keep your 993?

I would certainly keep my cab! I would certainly spend some money improving the acceleration, shifting, handling,etc... I would also trick out the interior, but I would continue to drive it like I stole it everytime I got behind the wheel.

I enjoy modifying cars (or at least directing the modifications), so I'd most likely turn my 993 into a street GT2 & pay Andial whatever they wanted to build it. I don't think I'd really care about owning a real one (having seen Jochen Rohr's stunning replica) other than for collecting purposes.

With that much money, I'd likely have a few houses in other countries to share time in, so selecting & purchasing just the right cars for each garage would be a fun project.

Well, I didn't win either. I always tell myself I'd stay in the home I'm in, do a little more remodeling...but not much. What you ultimately would/could do, depends on IF your State will alow you anononimity. The relentless hounding you would get if you had to go public would probably make what celebrities go thru with poparatzi(sp) pale in comparison.

But, a large commercial garage somewhere fully eguipted. Probably start with more 993's...a couple TT's. Probably add in no specific order, a 4.0RS, lots of late 60's and early 70's Mopar musclecars...some vintage Grouppe B rally cars, a McLaren F1, and maybe a Alfa Milano 3.0. Callaway made a twin turbo kit for that car, a local guy used to autox one...and it was cool as hell. Essentially lots of quirky stuff to look at...

just a dollar and a dream right.

Sure, I'd keep the 993, but I can guarantee you she wouldn't be riding on the stock turbo twists for long. Oh, and the 996 sport seats would be replaced by 993 hardback sport seats. And she might get a twin in Speed Yellow.

Now, keeping the wife, kids, and house is a different question....

Would I keep it? Of course!

I've put a lot of time and caring into it. Besides, its my first Porsche. I still own my first BMW motorcycle...more than 20 years later.

Would you get rid of your better half if you won the big one?

No question ... but I'd start a 4 numerical sequence collection to keep her company with the first two letters being 'GT' ...

I would keep my 993 but I would definitely not stay in San Diego.
My wife and I were talking about this today over a late lunch/early dinner. Neither of us have had the opportunity to travel much and we both love driving and eating... so that's what we would do. The wife loves Audi R8's so she would probably get one of those while I would probably get something ridiculous like a McLaren MP4 (and regret it later). We would pick them up in Europe and just drive around for a good long while.

It would be the first in my collection. Would get a TT next followed by a 997 gt3 and Carrera GT. My DD would likely be a Maserati coupe.

My mindset would stay the same with the 993. It's payed for and I cannot put a cost on the wonderful memories it's provided, so it would stay. However, I definitely would buy something all little more exotic to share it's garage space with.

Track friend has one, and he can't complement it highly enough. And he's a multi-exotic owner with a Scuderia (and even old school with a Countach he's had for probably 15 years.)

I didn't mean to diss on McLaren, their cars are amazing and of all the supercars in the world I would get a McLaren first.
Did you ever see the Top Gear episode where they got stuck on a parking garage ramp in a Zonda? That's more what I was thinking about... not that I wouldn't enjoy the car

I'd keep what I got...but the garage would get bigger....Much bigger! Then, I'd go to the Nurburgring at least once a month and rent the track until I could break a 10 min. lap. Of course, we'd do the F1 Circuit and go to all the races. They say "Money can't buy happiness...True, but it can buy you the misery to which you're best suited!"

Yes. I would just live in a place that I could drive it 12 months p year rather than 8

...and like Opo, I would get more colors.

Id keep my 993 and GT3.

I would have a 993 GT2 and 993 RS however.
