I have to have my windows down to get enough.
I drove my friends stock Cayman S and the engine compartment noise was louder then III's

 

I purchased II's after hearing Darin's car in Monterey during RRIV (still need to install). I do like the sound of III's, though I wanted a nice balance between the exhaust note and induction from the motorsound option.

Mark - you're more than welcome to try mine out before I install them as I purchased a set of mufflers to have modified rather than send in my motorsound mufflers (just in case).

Mag silver here too.

Stage 2. I dont need any unwanted attention from the louder sound. I do enough stupid stuff without drawing peoples attention to it

I have heard a couple of Opo's cars with the III's and they are nice ... if mine was a weekend only car I might consider them.

I went with II's ... it is a daily driver and I leave the house fairly early. With the windows up you don't even notice them ... at WOT or in a parking gargage you can get all the "music" you want :-)

I went mag silver + black velvet tips ... clean look and great sound ... fantastic customer service from FD

 

Started with Is, loved 'em but wanted more after a year, went through this whole thought process too and decided to try the IIIs. For me they are a little too much, so looking to trade for some IIs if someone in the Sac area is interested.

Stage II's ordered in Titanium finish. Cant wait! I figure if it is too quiet I can get one of these....

No thread yet. I figure I'll post it up when the car gets here. That's in about 2.5 weeks. The transporter is busy. Guess people are buying cars again. IF that means the economy is improving then I can wait for the car. Here's a small pic for now:
