Default Great Day

Beautiful weather in KC this weekend, and we managed to delete the SAI systems on 2 993's today. I'm sure some of the guys have pictures to post, but we did it all w/o pulling the intakes, and wrapped up in about 4hrs.

good times!

Thanks to Karl of Rennsport KC for technical assistance, Steve (raceit) for providing the facilities and homemade beer, and Mike (boxdoc2) for handling the grilling.

A few other KCWS'ers showed up (those with 993's, and those with other Porsches, like Mark Harris)

Also, thanks to Patrick Motorsports for providing the needed plugs

Cheers!

Always good to hear of new members joing the club.

I love seeing that spacious void in the rear of my engine compartment.

Hard to believe the KCWS started with a bunch of ratty old 944's. 5 911's sitting in the driveway/garage.

Good job Jim. Looks like you guys have a great time.

FYI, I am not sure how you guys are blocking off the vacuum line that runs to the SAI pump, but I found a 3 way Y fitting instead of the 4 way cross that comes on the car, it is used on the later cars sai system. The part number is 928 573 727 03 it was only a few bucks back when I ordered it and is a cleaner look than sticking a plug in the cross fitting IMO. Plus my old one was rock hard and I was not too sure of it sealing.

Either way, a special bond was created for sure

Erik, I removed the SAI pump. There was one vacuum line that I just capped with a rubber plug.

Adam, great to hear from you. really. you just had to bring that up again, didn't you??

Kent - awesome garage space - jealous!

another beautiful day in KC - had the top down on the S2 all day
