Beautiful weather in KC this weekend, and we managed to delete the SAI systems on 2 993's today. I'm sure some of the guys have pictures to post, but we did it all w/o pulling the intakes, and wrapped up in about 4hrs.

Lets not get carried away here....only one person finished his SAI delete. Steve should be done by next year.

FYI, I am not sure how you guys are blocking off the vacuum line that runs to the SAI pump, but I found a 3 way Y fitting instead of the 4 way cross that comes on the car, it is used on the later cars sai system. The part number is 928 573 727 03 it was only a few bucks back when I ordered it and is a cleaner look than sticking a plug in the cross fitting IMO. Plus my old one was rock hard and I was not too sure of it sealing.

Jim, Moose sure purked up when he saw this picture He still talks about that one fateful night...I believe that is when you earned your nickname, "Boulevard 220"???? For those that don't know the back story, the short version is that Jim drank 220 ounces if beer at my going away party and then when at my house later that night he molested my dog, Moose...we'll, some might say Moose molested him. Either way, a special bond was created for sure

 

We had that same weather in Des Moines all weekend and it was amazing. Got some spring cleaning in the garages done too!

 

Erik, I removed the SAI pump. There was one vacuum line that I just capped with a rubber plug.
